About the Artist

Suzannah Vaughan says her work "combines two simple but very beautiful materials glass and cement, which encapsulates the relationship between internal and external architectural space".

She graduated from NCAD in 2003. Her work has been exhibited at the RDS, and the National Museum of Ireland has bought one of her pieces.

She needed funding to invest in a flat bed grinder and diamond polishing discs which would enable her to develop her dream of working on large-scale architectural pieces.

Update 2011: Suzannah launched her exhibition "Tracing Form" in the Flashpoint Gallery in Washington DC in January 2011. This exhibition combines glass and concrete sculpures with string installation. Informed by linear perspective and architectural drawings, the luminous installation is suspended across the gallery space to create a three-dimensional drawing.
