Geraldine O'Reilly in Kathleen Lynn Exhibition in Mayo

Geraldine O'Reilly contributed some fine drawings to Kathleen Lynn: Insider on the Outside, a visual art project which took place in five arts venues around Mayo. The show celebrated the life of Mayo native Kathleen Lynn – doctor, suffragette, political activist and Chief Medical Officer of the Irish Citizen Army during the 1916 Rising, who went on to establish St. Ultan's Hospital for Infants in Dublin in 1919. 26th March - 30th April 2016. Geraldine's project about Lynn also featured in RTE's 1916 series Every County has a Story / Mayo.

Mick Minogue Designs Book Cover for Little Island Books

Mick Minogue designed a striking cover for No Heroes, the gripping young adult novel about a school shooting and its aftermath by Anna Seidl, which made quite a sensation when it appeared in its native Germany and has now been published in English by Little Island Books. Publication date 17th March 2016.

Claire Kerr Exhibition at Espacio Artkunstarte in Madrid

The Espacio Artkunstarte in Madrid showed a new body of work by Claire Kerr, paintings inspired by her observations during her 6-week Madrid residency in 2015. 26th February - 31st July 2016.

Eamon O'Kane Exhibiting at Mermaid Arts Centre

Eamon O'Kane was one of four artists with stories to tell about the world and their place in it, in the There are Little Kingdoms exhibition at the Mermaid Arts Centre in Wocklow. 11th February - 19th March 2016.

Bridget O'Gorman exhibiting at The LAB Gallery

Bridget O'Gorman's In the Flesh, the first of a series of three exhibitions where contemporary artists were invited to make new work in response to the 1916 Rising in collaboration with other research partners and institutions, went on show at The LAB Gallery in Dublin. Bridget's installation was created in collaboration with Brenda Malone of the National Museum of Ireland and writer Sue Rainsford. 28th January - 12th March 2016.

As one of the artiits showing work at the three-person exhibition Duality of Form running in the Solstice Arts Centre in Navan, Caoimhe Kilfeather started a year full of projects and commissions by showing work exploring how objects or places are recalled in memory. 20th January - 11th March 2016.

The Acuity of Blindness, a solo exhibition of paintings by David O'Kane, ran at the Josef Filipp Galerie in Leipzig.

David also curated Far from Me, an exhibition of work by a group of painters including Colin Martin, running simultaneously at the Josef Filipp Galerie.

Róisín de Buitléar mentors exhibition in the Hunt Museum

The ever-creative Róisín de Buitléar mentored the highly impressive exhibition at the Hunt Museum in Limerick of glass work exploring the values of Home by 13 women from three local Traveller communities around Limerick city. The project was carried out in collaboration with Limerick's Traveller Health Advocacy Programme and the Hunt Museum. 7th - 28th January 2016.
